In 1960, Yves Klein patented a blue so he could stop anyone from diluting it.
He registered the process behind his International Klein Blue with France's patent office that May — not the colour itself, which French law won't let anyone own, but the exact technical formula for keeping its pigment raw and velvety. He used almost nothing else for the rest of his career, and once filled a Milan gallery with eleven identical canvases in that one blue alone.
This print shares that same conviction — one saturated blue, nothing else, carrying a vase and three oversized leaves as a single unbroken silhouette, staged against flat fields of lavender, red and near-black. Nothing in the frame needs a second colour to read.
Where it lives: a study, a hallway, a wall that wants exactly one strong idea and nothing competing with it.
Printed as fine art giclée with special 12-colour printing on luxurious matte, eco-friendly paper. Available in 30×45 cm (12×18 in), 40×60 cm (16×24 in), and 60×90 cm (24×36 in), each finished with a thick white gallery margin. Titled and signed by the artist in the white margin (signature printed) — open edition, never numbered. Sold unframed, ready for your own frame. Made with AI-assisted digital tools, curated and signed by the artist. Printed and shipped by Gelato.
